FG Strengthens Emergency Medical Services
The Federal Government has expanded emergency medical systems nationwide through the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMSAS). This initiative aims to provide free emergency care for vulnerable Nigerians and improve access to the 112 emergency number. While progress has been made, including the commencement of residency training in Emergency Medicine, further cooperation between out-of-hospital and in-hospital systems, and stronger training programs are needed.
