About MyCalabar

We started this project to solve a problem we had ourselves.

Living in Calabar, we often found it difficult to get reliable information in one place. We wanted to know what the government was planning, which roads were closed, and what was behind the delays at the water board. We wanted a real guide to the city’s food scene and a calendar for local events that was actually up to date.

We believe that a well-informed community is a stronger one.

Our work is to provide that information.

What We Focus On

• Public Information: We report on decisions made by local and state governments that affect our daily lives. We follow the projects, the budgets, and the outcomes.
• City Life: We explore and document the city. This includes everything from finding the best places to eat to understanding the local transport system. We also tell the stories of the people and businesses that make Calabar what it is.
• Events Calendar: Our goal is to maintain the most accurate and useful calendar of what’s happening in Calabar, from major festivals to small community gatherings.

Our Approach

We are committed to factual reporting. We do the research, check our sources, and write in clear language. Our job is to be a trustworthy and practical resource for the people of this city.
