The MyCalabar Discount Club is a yearly membership that gives you verified savings at a growing network of Calabar businesses. No printed cards. No awkward “do you have a voucher?” moments. Only your phone, a QR code, and a discount that works.
Calabar has a real dining and lifestyle scene; good restaurants, proper spas, solid gyms, creative studios, and more opening every year. Most people spend there regularly. The Club turns that regular spending into something that pays you back.
At ₦10,000 a year, the membership pays for itself the first time you use it at a dinner out. After that, every visit is money you didn’t have to spend.

Why the QR expires in 15 minutes
A discount card or static image can be shared on WhatsApp and used by twenty people who never paid for a membership. We built the system so that can’t happen.
Every QR code you generate is tied to your account and expires 15 minutes after creation. It can only be used once. The venue scans it, the system validates it in real time, and the discount is applied. Once it’s used or once the timer runs out, it’s gone.

before joining
What exactly does the ₦10,000 cover?
It covers a full 12-month membership from the day you subscribe. During that period, you have unlimited access to discounts at all MyCalabar Discount Club partner businesses. There are no category restrictions, no monthly caps on usage, and no additional fees to unlock specific partners.
How do I generate a QR code?
After subscribing, log in to your MyCalabar account and go to the Discount Club section. There’s a one-tap button to generate your QR code. It appears on screen immediately and is valid for 15 minutes. You can generate a new one as many times as you need — there’s no daily limit.
Why does the QR code expire in 15 minutes?
To prevent sharing. A static discount code or screenshot could be forwarded to dozens of people who never paid for a membership. The 15-minute expiry means the code only works for the person who generated it, right before they use it. 15 minutes is enough time to walk in and present it — it’s not meant to be pre-generated the night before.
What discount do I get, and does it vary by business?
Discounts range from 10% to 45% depending on the business and the type of service. Each partner sets their own discount rate within our guidelines. You can check the exact discount available at any partner before visiting by looking them up in your account or on the partners page.
Can I use the discount more than once at the same place?
Yes. Your membership is not a one-time voucher. You can visit the same restaurant, spa, gym, or any other partner as often as you like throughout your membership year. Each visit, you generate a fresh QR code and receive the discount again.
What if a business refuses to honour the discount?
This should not happen with verified partner businesses. However, if a venue’s scanner has an issue or a staff member is uncertain, contact us through the MyCalabar support channel immediately. We will resolve it and document the incident. Persistent issues with a partner are grounds for their removal from the Club.
How many businesses are currently in the Club?
The partner network is growing. We publish the current list on the partners directory page, which is updated whenever new businesses join. Members also receive email or in-app notifications when new partners are added.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
No. Each membership is tied to one account and verified against the account holder. The QR system ensures that only the registered member can generate and use valid codes. You cannot gift an active membership, but you can purchase a new membership as a gift for someone else through the gifting option at checkout.
What happens when my year is up?
Your membership expires on the same date the following year. You will receive a reminder before expiry and can renew at the then-current rate. If you don’t renew, your account remains active but discount access is paused until you do.
Is there a refund policy?
Because the membership activates immediately and provides immediate access to discounts, we do not offer refunds after activation. If you have a technical issue that prevents you from using the membership, contact support and we will make it right.
I own a business. How do I get listed?
Use the partner application form on this page. We review applications and reach out within a few business days. There’s no listing fee for partner businesses — the model works because members pay, not businesses. Accepted partners receive scanner access, onboarding guidance, and a listing on the MyCalabar partners directory.
